How it works

TheDollPage.com's Show & Sell site is a place where you can upload pictures of your items for sale to a photo album where anyone can see what you have for sale and contact you to arrange the sale of one or more of your items.

Potential customers contact you using the information you provide in the product description, and you make your deal.

To promote your item for sale you should post the link of your item in doll forums or send the link to your friends or previous customers.

There are no listing fees, final value fees, or any other fees. Everything is free.

There is no feedback system available for the Show & Sell site yet, but we may be able to put something together if enough people want it.

The idea here is to provide a way where people who have items to sell can do so without having to set up a store or a web page, or pay so much in fees that it's hardly worth selling the thing in the first place.

We're hoping that if enough people use it that hundreds of people every day will come by just to see what's new for sale. So, people coming by to see some other item may see your item too, meaning much more exposure to potential customers than you would get by selling your item in one of our other photo albums.

If any problems arise that you need help with, contact us and we will respond as quickly as we can.  We're a 2-person (non-profit) operation here so we may not always be available to answer your questions right away, but it's very rare that you won't receive a response within 24 hours.

How to use it

To show the items you have for sale you first need to register.  (Even if you've registered with any of our other services) Just click the 'Register' link on the main page.

After you have registered, you will receive an email from the site asking you to click a link in the email which will activate your account.  Click on the link and your account will be fully active. When your account is fully active, you will be able to see the 'Upload Photos' link on the right side of the just above the 'Search' button.  If you clicked the email link to activate your account, and you do not see the 'Upload Photos' link, you probably need to log off and then log back on again.

If you do not receive your activation email within a minute or two it's probably because your email program thinks it's a spam email and has rejected it.  If you don't get your activation email just let us know and we can activate the account manually for you.

To list an item for sale, click on the 'Upload Photos' link, select a category for your item from the drop-down menu, upload your picture from your computer  and then fill in the name and description of your item.  When you click the 'Upload/Submit' button you will be taken to a confirmation page where you can edit your description and/or approve and launch your item

The program will automatically put your contact information (email address) in the description area, and you also should add any information about the item itself, payments accepted, shipping methods you (the seller) can use, (UPS, FedX, USPS), and anything else you feel is pertinent.   Once you've sold your item, please delete your post. (Unless you have more than one of the item or you like getting emails from people asking to buy something you no longer have).

Please note that all listings are automatically deleted once they become 90 days old so that the site does not become saturated with old/sold listings.  You may re-list any items that get deleted by this process.

Buyers need only contact the seller to purchase an item. You do not need to register to look & buy.

The Rules

You can upload and sell as many items as you like.  We ask only that your items be doll related.

Have fun and make some money.

Other than that, we don't really have any rules, but may impose a few more if we find it necessary. If someone finds a way to abuse the site, we'll find a way to stop it, but see no reason to set up a bunch of rules trying to prevent problems that may never come up.

This site should be a good way to network and trade doll items, but it may not work for every person or every situation.

You may want to consider using our Auctions Site where all buyers and sellers are registered and feedback can be given.  Or, you may want to consider opening a store in  DollPage Mall.
